The list of shortlisted candidates for the Skill Test (Shorthand) is purely provisional. The mere inclusion of the candidate’s name does not give him any right/claim regarding his selection for the post of ASI/Steno in CISF. CISF reserves the right to reject the candidature of any candidate on the grounds of not meeting the eligibility criteria or furnishing false/incorrect/incomplete information or not being found suitable for appointment on other grounds. The serial number mentioned against the candidates is not related to their merit position. The list is arranged Roll wise for easy reference of the candidates.

CISF Cut-off Marks
CISF Result – If you look at the CISF ASI Steno Exam Pattern, you can see that the paper type is Objective Type and the subjects are General Intelligence, General Studies/ Elementary Science, General English, or Hindi, and Arithmetic.
Now Cut off will be based on the total score in all the subjects’ individual marks. You need to score minimum marks scored by CISF officials to qualify.

- The maximum mark for the Steno ASI written test is 100 marks.
- You need to score minimum qualifying marks (decided by the CISF exam)
CISF Merit List
Now based on cut-off marks there will be a merit list. A candidate who scores the highest marks will be on top of the list and will be considered a topper. There is always the benefit of becoming a topper as the total marks will be good you will get a post as per your preference. if the exam is only for one post then there is no extra benefit to becoming a topper on the merit list.
