SSC CGL Descriptive Paper Pattern 2022 & Syllabus – If you have qualified for the SSC CGL TIER 2 and then you need to go through SSC CGL TIER 3 exam which is basically a descriptive paper under which you need to write either essay or letter. SSC CGL tier 3 paper will be Pen and Paper mode (Descriptive Type Questions). The duration of the Examination will be one hour and it will be held from 1100 Hrs to 1200 Hrs.

Commission has introduced a descriptive paper as Tier 3 of the examination as the interview component has been wiped out with effect from this year. In this article, we will explain the pattern and syllabus related to this newly introduced descriptive paper for the SSC CGL Exam.

SSC CGL Descriptive Paper Pattern:

Total Marks assigned to Descriptive paper in CGL TIER 3 is 100 marks and topics which will come in exams are Writing of an Essay / Passage of 250 words and Letter / Application Writing of approximately 150 words.

Note: For the Visually handicapped and candidates suffering from cerebral Palsy duration of the paper will be 80 minutes.

SSC CGL TIER 3 Syllabus

The SSC CGL Tier 3 exam would cover almost all the theoretical parts and the total mark for this paper is 100 which will be significant in overall marking. The SSC CGL Descriptive Paper would comprise of writing an Essay / Passage of 250 words and Letter / Application writing of approximately 150 words.
