The Combined Higher Secondary Level is an exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). CHSL stands for Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam. This is the most participated examination of our country. SSC conducts SSC CHSL Recruitment for the recruitment of Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Court Clerk & Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern: Objective paper
Tier 1 exam of chsl is an objective-type question paper. Candidates must know the correct SSC CHSL Exam Pattern for better preparation. This tier will be of 200 marks and 200 questions in all the subjects. The main subjects are divided into 4 parts general intelligence, English, Quant Apti, and general awareness. see the below image for more detail.
The written exam consists of Objective Type Multiple choice questions only. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern: Descriptive Type Paper
ssc chsl tier 2 exam would be a descriptive paper. The total marks will be of total 100 marks and the time duration will be of 2 Hours. The question will be quantitative and English. You can prepare for this exam better to go to tier 3 which is the skill test and typing test.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Syllabus
chsl Tier 2 will be comprised of Essay Writing and Application writing. An essay of 200-250 words and a Letter / Application of approximately 150-200 words will be given to write. SSC CHSL Tier 3 Syllabus
Skill Test For DEO –This skill test would be of qualifying nature. Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour required on Computer. The speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on the Computer will be judged on the basis of the correct entry of words/key depressions as per the given passage.
Typing Test For LDC- Typing Test will be conducted for those candidates who qualify in the Written Examination. It will be conducted in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the Examination, will have to indicate/her choice/option for Skill Test Medium in the Application form.
For lower division clerk (LDC) 35 wpm corresponds to 10500 key depressions per hour and 30 wpm corresponds to 9000 key depressions per hour.
